Family Travel

A very important event in the life of our family is taking place over the next couple of weeks.  The oldest son of the lovely and talented lady of the house is getting married.  Now this is a big event in and of itself.  And this is no exception in that the wedding is taking place in India.  So last Saturday, they began the extended journey to India and some 20+ hours later arrived, tired,( ok, she said exhausted) a bit less gamey than expected, and in a world and culture that she’s fascinated by.  I spoke with her by phone this morning and already she’s planning our return trip, with me in tow.  Apparently the mother of the groom in a wedding in India is a big deal which is why she went now.  Accordingly, we couldn’t afford not having any income for nearly a month, so we’ll plan for a trip in a year or so.  The phone conversation was great learning all about their travel.  Singapore Airlines gets rave reviews from our travelers.  The oldest son on his last trip to India took Lufthansa, and remarked that this trip was far more pleasant.  Apparently Singapore Airlines gets customer service.  So now I’m awaiting pictures and video of the adventure so far.
